The discipline of international relations (IR) has often been critiqued for geo-centric parochialism with scholars increasingly engaging its colonial origins and legacies. This recent engagement underscores the necessity to unravel disrupt epistemic sites hierarchized power knowledge manifested through dichotomous categorizations like ‘primitive/civilized’, ‘rational-irrational’ ‘traditional-modern’. concerns regarding ‘epistemic imperialism’ stemming from superiority granted modern science over non-Western knowledges are founded on distinction between nature culture that hinges upon separation subject object. Coloniality thus reconfigures itself use scientific-rational methodology it is pertinent reframe question beyond questions epistemology ontology unpack ‘traditional knowledges’ as a source valid knowledge. article offers methodological contribution larger debate ‘coloniality power’ by critiquing disembodied monoculture associated scientific rationality.
